SEVERVS PIVS AVG Laureate head of Septimius Severus to right. Rev. AETERNIT IMPERI Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Caracalla, on the left and seen from behind, facing draped and bare-headed bust of Geta, on the right and seen from behind. Cf. 'Limes-falsa' were contemporary casts from Roman coins which were likely produced by local authorities during times the monetary supply by the central government ran short.
